Aligning Career and Soul: Clarifying and Cultivating Your Calling

Is something calling you onto a particular path?

Some people know who they are and what they're meant to do from an early age. For others, the path winds and blurs. You may find yourself straining to hear what the world, or your own soul, is asking of you.

Maybe a career that once felt meaningful suddenly feels hollow. It may have served you well for years, but now something more is calling. Or maybe a job you loved ended abruptly, and you're standing at the edge of what now? Unsure how to begin again.

If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone, and you don't have to face it alone. Guiding people through thresholds like these is part of my own soul's purpose. My work is built for exactly this kind of moment: for people seeking to find and follow their vocational calling.

Your calling might not look like anyone else's. Some people are drawn to a single, clear purpose. Others hold several at once, or find that their sense of vocation shifts over the years. And calling doesn't always live inside a job title. It might show up in volunteer work, caregiving, or the meaningful roles you play for your family and community. Whatever shape it takes for you, there's room for it here.

This work can be done through individual coaching. However, I also find that this work is better done together. Something happens in a group that rarely happens in solitude—some kind of alchemy occurs as we share the space together.

I tailor courses for organizations, professional groups, and even circles of friends, shaping each offering to meet the needs of that particular group. For organizations, this work can also serve a practical purpose — supporting retention, development, and healthy succession planning by helping your people reconnect with purpose.

• Reflection on childhood experiences to uncover early signs of your calling
